Letter From the Manager
Dear Wise Electric Cooperative Member,
Because of the Coronavirus pandemic and the related concerns about large gatherings such as our annual meeting, the Wise Electric Cooperative Board of Directors has, pursuant to the cooperative’s bylaws, decided to hold a virtual annual meeting this year and allow mail-in ballots for election of directors as well as approval of the 2019 audit report (see below) and last year’s annual meeting minutes (see below).
When this pandemic started in March, I declared to the board and employees that we have three missions going forward, which are (1) keep the lights on, (2) protect the health and safety of members and employees, and (3) submit to the governing authority. The decision to forego our normal, in-person meeting and move to a virtual meeting was not easy, but does in fact meet with the criteria mentioned above.
This change is one of several adaptations to cooperative operations that have been made in response to COVID-19 as we continue to provide the very best service possible at the lowest possible cost.
Thank you for understanding our difficult decision to go virtual with your annual meeting. In the meantime, we are here 24/7 to serve you, and we look forward to having a traditional annual meeting in future years once this pandemic has ended.

NOMINATING COMMITTEE REPORT AND NOMINEES
In accordance with Article IV, Section 4A of the cooperative’s bylaws, the following members were appointed by your board of directors to serve on this year’s Nominating Committee:

The Nominating Committee met via conference call on August 10, 2020 to nominate candidates to fill director positions that will commence on January 1, 2021. After consideration of all the appropriate requirements, the committee nominated the following persons for Directors of Wise Electric Cooperative, Inc.
